Five Years Strong!

Deep Wild Journal is five years old! In our first half-decade, we have offered over 750 pages of words from wild places by close to 200 contributors from nearly every state and ten other countries too. We are a not-for-profit journal funded entirely by subscriptions and donations. Our mission is to publish the best work we can find in celebration of and defense of paces where there are no roads. If you love wild places and good words, we’d love to have you aboard as a contributor and/or subscriber. We are currently accepting work for our 2024 issue, as well as for our Graduate Student Prose Contest. No fees!
