“Waking to the Wild”

That’s the theme of the no-fee 2025 Deep Wild Journal student writing contest. We seek work in any genre that conveys the awe, the gratitude, the passion to protect, and/or any other feelings and thoughts that arise when you awaken to the wild world. The contest is open to anyone currently enrolled in college classes, part-time or full-, undergrad or grad. Publication and cash awards to winners. The deadline to submit is March 1.
