Bear Down with Deep Wild 2025!

Our friends the bears have made their presence felt in every issue of Deep Wild Journal so far: sniffing the air at the edge of camp, grousing around in the night outside the tent, appearing heart-stoppingly on the trail, cubs in tow; and, of course, livening up one’s dreams—and Deep Wild 2025 is no different. Here’s a big black bear standing tall, leaving his signature on the tree for you and me to read, by Colorado artist David B. Such. David’s wildlife drawings—butterflies and bull elk, rock squirrel and fox, the vulture and the raven and more—enliven the pages of this year’s issue Thanks, David, for sharing your “Wild Ink.”
