Submissions are now being accepted for the Deep Wild 2020 Undergraduate Student Essay Contest. We seek work that conjures the experiences, observations, and insights of backcountry journeys. We are open to a wide range of carefully-crafted work, both personal and political (however you construe that word). The length limit is 3,000 words.
Entries will be accepted until March 15. There is no fee to submit. Up to three essays will be chosen for publication in the 2020 issue of Deep Wild Journal, and the authors will receive cash awards of $100 and five copies of the journal.
