Nankoweap Creek in the Grand Canyon

If you’re looking for some quality reading to prime you for your next adventure, check out Parks and Points, a first-rate blog whose mission is to “publish personal essays and poetry about national parks and other public lands, as well as timely budget travel tips and travel guides.”

The Parks and Points project is created by Amy Beth and Derek Wright, Brooklyn-based writers and outdoor enthusiasts. Their website contains a wealth of well-made words and artful pics. We’ve been fans for years!

Their recent Parks and Points and Poetry series is out. It was put together in celebration of National Poetry Months and of our national parks. Congratulations to two of our Deep Wild contributors, Benjamin Cutler and Susan Marsh, whose poems were published in this year’s series. Over 50 poems from past Parks and Points and Poetry series are also now included in their new poetry anthology, Wayfinding.

Thanks, Amy and Derek, for curating this wonderful website for fellow lovers of wild places!
