The 2022 Deep Wild Journal Graduate Student Essay Contest is open for submissions until March 1^st! Send us your best creative nonfiction, max of 3,000 words, that is backcountry infused and inspired.  Up to three essays will be chosen for publication in the June 2022 volume of Deep Wild Journal, and the authors will receive cash awards and five copies of the journal. There is no fee to submit. Open to students currently enrolled in graduate studies, any degree program, part-time or full-time. See our essential Contest Guidelines.
